EXETER: The Cosmopolitan Senior Citizens Club will meet 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony’s center.

FALLS: The Falls Active Adult Center, State Route 92, Exeter Township, will offer a Japanese calligraphy class 10:30 a.m.-noon Tuesday. All supplies are provided at no cost.

Parisian Day celebration Thursday, with a special Parisian lunch. Tony Rovinski, a folk and gospel singer, will provide concert from 10:45 -11:45 a.m.

KINGSTON: Kingston Active Adult Center, 335 Third Ave., will host an art show Wednesday through Friday, featuring paintings, sketchings, etc. from center members.

AARP driver safety classes, 1 to 5 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 12 and Sept. 19, for those who have not previously taken a class. Both sessions required for insurance credit. $15 for current AARP members, $20 for non-members. Call 570-287-1102 to pre-register, space is limited.

NANTICOKE: The Rose Tucker Active Adult Center, 145 E. Green St., will host Cody Forgach from State Representative Gerald Mullery’s office at 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday and exercise with Guardian Elder Care at 10:30 a.m.

Seniorsize with Birchwood Nursing & Rehab Center 10:30 a.m. Thursday, and Jeff from Alzheimer’s Association will present “Healthy Habits.”

PITTSTON: The Pittston Active Adult Center, 441 N. Main St., is offering an AARP Smart Driver’s 4- hour Refresher Course from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at the center. Cost of the class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Successful completion of the course may entitle you to a 5% discount on automobile insurance if 55 or older. Check with your insurance carrier. Class size is limited and pre-registration is necessary.

A few seats remain for a day trip to the Sands Casino on Thursday, Nov. 3. Cost is $26 with $20 in free play and $5 food voucher.

PLAINS TWP.: Plains Senior Citizens Project Head met Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the St. Peter and Paul Church in the Bernardine Hall, Plains.

Mike Boncheck, trip coordinator, is planning a trip to the Pines Dinner Theatre, Allentown, Thursday, Dec. 15. Dinner, play and transportation is $70.The play is the “The Miracle of Christmas.”

The bus leaves at 10 a.m. from St. Peter and Paul Church and arrives back at 6 p.m.

SWOYERSVILLE: The Swoyersville Senior citizens will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Church social hall. President Liz Zdanciewicz will preside.

Winners of the 50/50 fundraiser from the last meeting were Lorraine Cwalina, Liz Zdanciewicz and Clara Belle Reggie hosted members to refreshments in observance of her birthday.

WILKES-BARRE: The Charles T. Adams Active Adult Center, 5 E. Market St., is hosting an afternoon of dinner and dancing from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug., 27.
