Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Vissotski, Plains, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Sept. 11. They were married by the late Rev. David El Mouallem at St. George’s Maronite Church, Wilkes-Barre.

Mrs. Vissotski is the daughter of Rachel George and the late Joseph George.

The matron of honor was Mrs. John George, sister of the groom. Other attendants were Mrs. John Pappadakis, sister of the bride; Mrs. Ralph Gambini, Miss Ketty Rizk, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Karen Gulanick. Michelle Joseph was junior brides maid.

The bridegroom’s twin nieces served as flower girls. Ralph Gambini was ring bearer.

Mr. Vissotski is the son of the late Stanley and Lena Vissotski. He chose George Rizk, uncle of the bride, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, as best man. Ushers were John Pappadakis, Ralph Gambini, John Gregory, and Peter Maria. Ralph Vissotski, brother of the bridegroom, was a junior usher.

Mrs. Vissotski is a graduate of St. Nicholas High School and Empire Beauty Academy. Mr. Vissotski, a graduate of Plains High School and Bradford Beauty Academy, is owner and operator of Gerald’s Hair Fashions.

They are the parents of four children, Mark Vissotski, Pittsburgh; Anthony and wife, Amy; Carla Boudreau and husband, Raymond, Harrisburg; Laura Marks and husband, Robert, Allentown.

They are blessed with ten grandchildren; Dominic, Alec and Preston Vissotski; Anthony and Aleah Vissotski; Samantha and Adam Boudreau; Victoria, Jaida and Lena Marks.

The family vacationed on a cruise to the Bahamas.
