On Nov. 13, 2015, Rita and Bob Peters celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss. Who would have thought that working together at Purvin Dairy would lead to the love of a lifetime?

After getting off to a trying start with Rita’s Aunt Nan meeting them for mass every morning of their honeymoon, things turned around with the birth of their first son, Robert. Like good Irish Catholics, Bob and Rita added three more children to the family, Ann, Patrick and Megan.

As the years went on, their marriage stood the test of time when all of Rita’s old Irish family members seemed to take turns living in their home or across the street. That Bob was a trooper.

Now, fifty years later, Rita and Bob have shown their children and grandchildren, Gillian, Kay, Lex, Caroline, Emma and Hayden, what marriage, family and true love are all about.
