Penn State Wilkes-Barre is pleased to announce the addition of new faculty for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Dr. Garrett Huck joins Penn State Wilkes-Barre and Penn State Hazleton as an Assistant professor of rehabilitation and human services in the first shared faculty position between these two campuses. Huck recently completed his Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He has a Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater.

Dr. Violet Mager joins Penn State Wilkes-Barre as an assistant professor of astronomy and physics. Mager received her Ph.D. and Masters of Science in Physics from the Arizona State University and her Bachelors of Arts degree in Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Prior to joining Penn State Mager was a faculty member in the department of physics at Susquehanna University.

Dr. Esra Tekdal joins Penn State Wilkes-Barre as an assistant professor of engineering, with teaching responsibilities in the surveying programs. Tekdal received a Ph.D. in Geomatics Engineering, a Masters of Science degree in Geomatics Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Istanbul Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey. Tekdal has been working as a research assistant and faculty member in the civil engineering department at the Istanbul Technical University.
