Dr. Louis Sieminski met recently with the new Pennsylvania Secretary of Health, Dr Karen Murphy, to discuss the past development of the Infant Hearing Screening Program, the future direction and its needs to improve it to a higher level. Originated by Senator Charles Lemmond this bill mandates all babies born in Pennsylvania would have their hearing screened by month one, diagnosis of hearing loss by an audiologist by month three, and the child enrolled in early education programming by six months.
