Adult winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves are needed for the 7th annual Christmas Turkey, Trimmings and Winter Coat Giveaway to be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the former Seton Catholic Auditorium, Church Street in Pittston. The event is sponsored by The Greater Pittston Food Pantry, a member agency of Feeding America and a ministry of The Care and Concern Ministries of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Pittston. Donations can be made from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Parish Center on Church Street. Deadline for donations is Monday, Dec. 14. Over 400 registered, low income families from the Greater Pittston and Wyoming Areas will be served. Volunteers are needed to carry groceries from 9:30 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16.
