Several members of the Rotary Club of Dallas welcomed 50 members of the Dallas Active Adult Center to the Appletree Terrace at Newberry Estate. The Christmas luncheon featured a feast with all the trimmings and a fabulous assortment of desserts made and served by Rotarian Fred DiMaria, owner of the Appletree Terrace and his staff. Rotarian Eric Martin led the group in singing, Richard Burkhardt played Santa and Tom Pickett entertained with more Christmas songs. All members of the activity center were treated to a meal, music and a bag full of gifts and treats. Hand-made scarves knitted or crocheted just for them by the Prayer Shawl group of women at Trinity Presbyterian Church were also given.
