Nicole Lee Thomas and Aaron James Edwin McGovern, together with their families, are happy to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the middle daughter of Robert and Beverly Thomas, Swoyersville. She is the granddaughter of David and Nancy Kachurak, Kingston; Charles and Anne Jacien, Winter Garden, Florida; and Robert Thomas, Wilkes-Barre.

The prospective groom is the eldest son of James and Maureen McGovern, Larksville. He is the grandson of Maureen McGovern and the late L. James McGovern, Mountain Top, and George and Elizabeth Fahey, Luzerne.

The couple graduated together from Wyoming Valley West High School in 2010.

Nicole is a 2014 graduate of The University of Scranton with a degree in early and primary teacher education.

Aaron James will graduate from The United States Military Academy in May 2015 with a degree in business management. Upon graduation, he will commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Army and serve as a field artillery officer.

The couple was engaged on June 15, 2013. They will exchange vows on May 30, 2015, during their 1 p.m. ceremony at Cadet Chapel, West Point, New York.
