Carissa Lushefski and Anthony Chianese, together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Lushefski of Nanticoke. She is the granddaughter of George and Rose Madl of Nanticoke, Mary Lushefski of West Nanticoke and the late Joseph Lushefski Jr.

The prospective groom is the son of James and Barbara Chianese of Massachusetts. He is the grandson of Alfred and Sheila Smith of South Carolina and the late James and Bernice Chianese.

The bride-to-be is a 2010 graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area High School. She received her pharmacy technician certificate from Luzerne County Community College in 2010. She is employed as a pharmacy technician.

The prospective groom is a 2011 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School. He is currently studying to receive his HVAC certification.

The couple was engaged on April 28, 2013. They will exchange vows on November 5, 2016 at St. Faustina Church in Nanticoke. A reception will follow at The Terrace Room in West Nanticoke.
