Heather Lauren Massimo and Matthew Joseph Katyl were united in marriage on Oct. 11, 2014, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lansdale, Pennsylvania, by the Rev. Anita E. London.

The bride is the daughter of Edward and Dale Massimo, Lansdale. She is the granddaughter of the late Laverne Jackson, West Chester, and Joan Massimo, Media.

The groom is the son of William and Cynthia Katyl, Dallas. He is the grandson of John and Catherine Van Sickle, Manahawkin, New Jersey; Joseph Katyl, Wilkes-Barre; and the late Irene Katyl, Trucksville.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose her friend, Marquita Haye Feldman, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kerri McLaughlin and Lindsey Massimo, sisters of the bride, and Shira Brown, Andrea Sacchetti-Altenderfer, Kara Kinney-Ward and Alicia Preston, friends of the bride.

The groom chose his friend, Christopher Young, as best man. Groomsmen were Aaron and Christopher Katyl, brothers of the groom, and Alex Ruderman, Joshua Janet, Jonathan Tillson and Jonathan Mukai, friends of the groom.

An evening reception was held at the Old York Road Country Club, Ambler, Pennsylvania.

A wedding rehearsal dinner, hosted by the parents of the groom, was held at Ristorante La Campagnola, Lansdale, Pennsylvania. A bridal shower, hosted by the bridesmaids, was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride and groom were honored at an engagement party, hosted by the groom’s parents, at their home.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of North Penn High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Widner University in 2008. She works as a staff nurse in Lankenau Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Lehigh University in 2007. Matthew works as a technical operations engineer at Merck.

The couple honeymooned in New Zealand. They reside in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
