Jacqueline Ivy Wheatley and Daniel Gerard Horn were united in marriage on Aug. 29, 2015, in St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend John C. Lambert. Concelebrant was Monsignor Joseph G. Rauscher.

The bride is the daughter of Lucia Lyden-Wheatley of Waldwick, New Jersey and Simon Wheatley, Washington Twp., New Jersey. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Lyden, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Salisbury, Southwold, England.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil G. Horn of Kingston. He is the grandson of Cecilia McCarthy, Kingston; the late John D. McCarthy; Ann Marie Horn, Wilkes-Barre, and the late George N. Horn.

Given in marriage by her brother, Jeremy Wheatley, the bride wore a Paloma Blanca alencon and organza gown with custom neckline designed by Jaehee Bridal Atelier, New Jersey, featuring a custom twelve-foot cathedral veil.

The bride chose her childhood friend, Alexandra Martin, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Meghan Upton and Colleen Doyle, sisters of the groom; Mary Kate Lambert, cousin of the groom; Lisa Priest, Alyssa Mocion and April Cutrofello, all friends of the bride.

Claire Doyle, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.

The groom chose his closest friend, Robert Riley, as his best man. Groomsmen were Zachary Wheatley, brother of the bride; Gary Lambert, Patrick McGlynn, Timothy Lambert, John D. McCarthy III, all cousins of the groom; Mark Timko, and Timothy Kelly, friends of the groom.

Liam Upton, nephew and godson of the groom and Cormick Upton, nephew of the groom, were ring bearers.

Scriptural readings were given by Jessica Lyden, cousin of the bride, Kelly McGlynn, cousin of the groom, and Tara Lambert, cousin-in-law of the groom. Offertory gifts were presented by Katie Hitow and Patrick Lyden, godparents of the bride, and Lynn McCarthy and Patrick McGlynn, godparents of the groom.

The bride and groom were honored at an engagement party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lambert, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. John McCarthy, Jr. at the Beaumont Inn.

The bride was honored at a Tuscan themed display shower hosted by the mother of the bride, mother of the groom and her attendants at The Grove at the Woodlands, Wilkes-Barre.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom on the side porch of the Westmoreland Club. An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Woodlands Inn and Resort, Wilkes-Barre. An After-Glow party followed at the SKYY Vu Deck Bar. A send-off mass and brunch was held the following morning.

The bride is a graduate of Waldwick High School and Misericordia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Jacqueline is employed as a registered nurse at General Hospital, where she works in their obstetrics department.

The groom is a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and King’s College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a minor in human resources. Daniel is employed by McCarthy Tire as a regional sales manager.

Following a honeymoon to Eden Roc Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, and Jade Mountain, St. Lucia, the couple resides in Kingston.
