WA 7th, 8th grade team wins championship

Wyoming Area girls basketball teams won the championships of the seventh and eighth grade divisions of the Leighton Greater Wilkes-Barre Girls Basketball League at Wyoming Seminary Lower School.

The seventh grade team, coached by Rich Musinski, won in a thriller beating Good Sheppard Academy of Kingston, 39-34. The score was back and forth the entire game but the Lady Warriors pulled away late. The seventh graders finished 11-1.
