Stephens, Fenstermacher

Susan Fenstermacher and Robert Stephens, together with their families, are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bruce and Rose Fenstermacher, Edwardsville.

She is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Penn State University and her Ph.D. in psychology from Boston University in 2008. Following a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., Dr. Fenstennacher has been employed as a lecturer in psychology at the University of Vermont, Burlington, Vt., since 2010.

The prospective groom is the son of Richard and Marilyn Stephens of Beacon Falls, Conn.

He is a graduate of Holy Cross High School, Waterbury, Conn. In 2004 he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut, where he double-majored in English and journalism. Following graduation, he worked for several years in Boston, Mass., as a freelance journalist, photographer and event specialist. He is employed by JP Morgan Chase, South Burlington, Vt.

A June 1 wedding is planned.
