WILKES-BARRE — A man wanted in the attempted homicide of a Pittston woman waived his extradition hearing in New York state Thursday and was returned to Luzerne County to face charges.

State police at Wyoming said Nygee Jamal Taylor, 25, appeared in Queens County Court and did not challenge his return to Pennsylvania. He was captured on June 22 by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service and the New York Police Department Fugitive Unit Task Force. Taylor, whose last known address was Scott Street, Wilkes-Barre was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Zola, Hazleton and committed to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $500,000 bail.

Taylor, Jerone Andre Moore, 31, of North Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre and Chloe Amelia Isaacs, 21, whose last known address was North Hancock Street, Wilkes-Barre have been charged in the assault of the woman last October. State police said the woman was beaten, held captive and left for dead with her throat slashed for taking Isaacs’ cell phone.

State police said the woman, who has not been identified, suffered a 3-inch deep laceration from her trachea to her ear. She was found bloody and naked the night of Oct. 5, 2014 on Aleeda Road in Bear Creek Township.

State police said their investigation revealed: Issacs and Moore picked up the woman at an apartment in Pittston earlier that day and took her to Isaacs’ residence on North Hancock Street. The woman was stripped and beaten by Isaacs and other females. The woman was placed in a barrel for four hours. Moore and Taylor put her in the trunk of a vehicle and took her to Bear Creek Township where Moore cut her throat and left her in the woods. The woman wandered around yelling for help and was eventually heard by a resident who attended to her while awaiting the arrival of emergency medical services personnel.

State police said Moore was taken into custody at his residence on June 2 and Isaacs was captured June 3 in Utica, New York.
