Rain followed by cooler temperatures can be expected to hit the Wyoming Valley these next few days.

The National Weather Service reported that is was 48 degrees at 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

Today will feature rain showers before 2 p.m. and possibly again after 4 p.m. with a high of 68 degrees while tonight will be mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping to 48 degrees.

Clouds and a high of 58 degrees can be expected for Wednesday with a low of around 41 in the evening while Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high of 59 and a low of 45 at night.
