Rain and thunderstorms are possible this Memorial Day weekend, but otherwise expect sun and temperatures to push the low 90s.

For Saturday, expect partly sunny skies and a high near 91, according to the National Weather Service. The low will be around 66 degrees. A chance of a thunderstorm is likely after 3 p.m. Expect some patchy fog in the early morning.

Sunday figures to be similar, with a high of 85 expected during the day and temperatures in the mid- to upper-60s overnight. There is a 60 percent chance of a rainfall after 5 p.m. The likelihood of rain increases to 90 percent after 9 p.m.

Memorial Day is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 80. A low of 62 is expected. There is a 50 percent chance of rainfall.

Expect the sun and higher temperatures to stick around throughout the remainder of the week.
