WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Police recovered drugs and paraphernalia during a warranted search at 737 E. Northampton St. Friday.

Police said the search was in relation to an investigation into the sale and distribution of illicit drugs from the Northampton Street location. Controlled substances and paraphernalia were discovered at the residence, according to police.

Police said officers from the Department’s Special Investigations Unit have had the residence under surveillance for several months.

Wilkes-Barre Township police were aided by the Pennsylvania State Police K-9 unit from Troop P Wyoming.

No arrests were made at the time of the search and the investigation will continue, police said.
