KINGSTON — A New York man was found to be in possession of a “sizable amount” of cocaine during a routine traffic stop Sunday, according to police.

According to a police report:

Tasheam Eurajava Jackson was a passenger in a vehicle stopped in the borough for several equipment violations.

Jackson, 31, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was found to have cocaine intended to be sold in the area.

He was charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, providing false identification to law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jackson was also wanted by the Monroe County Sheriffs Office.

He is lodged in Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $30,000 bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. March 8 in front of District Judge Michael G. Dotzel.
