Summer-like temperatures are in the forecast for the Wyoming Valley this weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 61 degrees as of 9:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

It will be partly sunny Saturday with a high near 71.

Saturday night clouds will roll in and there is a slight chance of showers before 2 a.m. Low will be around 58.

Easter Sunday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 79. There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday night there’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then a chance of showers between midnight and 3 am. Mostly cloudy with a low around 53.

Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 66.
