The following are recent Lackawanna County restaurant inspection reports from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. According the agency: “any inspection is a ‘snapshot’ of the day and time of the inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment. Burger King #1779, Rte. 6 & 11 Northern Blvd., Clarks Summit, April 11. Regular inspection; in compliance. Violation: Food facility is not complying with “Boil Water” advisory issued by the Public Water System, and is using water which does not meet standards for drinking water. Facility was observed using hard plumbed equipment such as ice machine, coffee machine. Facility will serve bottled beverages until advisory is lifted.

Subway #13596, 860 Northern Blvd., Clarks Summit, April 12. Follow-up inspection; in compliance. Violation: Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in the under counter refrigerator. Temperature noted at 38 degrees F during this inspection.
