DURYEA — A 24-year-old Scranton woman was arrested after allegedly crashing her car into two Duryea houses and fleeing the scene.

According to police, officers were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. Saturday to the corner of Stephenson and Donnelly Streets for a vehicle that had struck two structures, one of which being occupied. No one was injured. The driver fled the scene on foot.

Duryea police were assisted Avoca and Hughestown police in searching for the driver.

Police were called to a home up the road, where the driver had fled to. The driver, who has not been identified, showed signs of being intoxicated.

She was taken into custody and taken to the hospital for a blood alcohol test. DUI charges are pending results of the test.
