SCRANTON — A Scranton man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly robbing a bank in Nicholson, Wyoming County.

The indictment accuses Wyatt Erb, 47, of robbing the First National Bank in Nicholson on Aug. 1, according to U.S. Attorney Bruce D. Brandler.

If Erb is found guilty, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine under federal law.

The alleged robbery was investigated by the Dalton Police Department, the South Abington Township Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police and the FBI.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenny P. Roberts.
