WILKES-BARRE — A hazardous weather outlook issued for Northeastern Pennsylvania by the National Weather Service is calling for strong storms Friday that could lead to some flooding.

Early isolated showers and storms will become more numerous as the day goes on. Some storms could produce excessive rain, strong wind gusts and cause flood problems. Expect the high to be around 83, though the humidity will make it feel much warmer.

The potential for storms will taper off around 1 a.m. The overnight low will be around 67.

When the storm clears, expect Saturday to feature plenty of sunshine. Experts are calling for a high of 83 and calm winds. There will be a small chance for some showers or a thunderstorm in the evening. The low will be around 63.

Sunday looks like a beautiful day as well. Sunny skies and a high of 83.

The workweek will start off again on Monday with clear skies and a high of 86.
