Don and Betty Casterline, Hanover Township, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 22. They exchanged their vows on May 22, 1965, at the former Holy Rosary Church, Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Anthony Noviello officiating.
The maid of honor was Theresa Smith, sister of the bride. The best man was Tom Hoffman, friend of the groom.
Mrs. Casterline is the daughter of Ralph and Sophie Barone, Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. Casterline is the son of Ruth Casterline, Wilkes-Barre.
Don was employed in the newspaper business for 37 years before retiring in 1994.
Betty was a stay-at-home mother, raising their two children, Don Jr., Mountain Top, and Cheryl, Simpsonville, South Carolina.
An extended vacation is planned to celebrate the occasion.
