Mr. and Mrs. Albert Babetski, Countrywood, Hanover Township, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on May 30, 1955, at Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke, by the late Rev. Albert Kaczmarek.
Mrs. Babetski is the former Bernadine Lukaszewski, daughter of the late William and Frances Lukaszewski. Mr. Babetski is the son of the late Walter and Lottie Babetski.
The late Sylvia Szynecki Weaver and James Weaver were maid of honor and best man, as witnesses at their wedding.
Mrs. Babetski is a retired registered nurse. Mr. Babetski is retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an airways facility manager.
The couple have three children, Walter and his wife Mary Cay, Nanticoke; William and his wife Teresa, Cape Cod, Massachusetts; and Linda Marie and her husband David, East Aurora, New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Babetski have 13 grandchildren, Mark, Sarah, Kathryn, Daniel, Rosemary, Juliana, Angela, Gregory, Catherine, Peter, Genevieve, Ryan and Emma. They have two great-grandchildren, Leo and Lucy.
Because both of the celebrants are dealing with health issues, a quiet dinner was held in their honor.
