Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Yanus celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 15.
Mrs. Yanus, the former Ruth Iacono, is the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Iacono. Before retirement, she was employed at the Park Market, Nanticoke.
Mr. Yanus is the son of the late Michael and Mary Yanus. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, after working many years on the Railway Post Office and in the Wilkes-Barre Post Office. He is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
The couple has five children: Patricia Eroh, Nuangola; Colleen Nearhouse and Paul Yanus, Nanticoke; Mark Yanus, White Haven; and Donna Yanus, St. Pete Beach, Fla.
They also have four grandchildren.
The couple was honored at a family dinner at Alden Manor, Nanticoke. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered on Nov. 8 in St. Joseph’s Church, Nanticoke.
