Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moran, Wilkes-Barre, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day. They were married on Feb. 14, 1959, in St. Mary’s Church, South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, by Monsignor Donald Deuel.
Faith Pecatis was the maid of honor and Tom Roccograndi was the best man.
Mrs. Moran is the former Gladys Monsuer, daughter of the late Peter and Sarah Monsuer.
Mr. Moran is the son of the late Margaret Rynkiewicz.
Mrs. Moran is employed at Wegman’s Markets and Mr. Moran is retired from the Wilkes-Barre Area School District.
The couple has three children: Diane Brice and Joseph and Paul Moran, all of Wilkes-Barre. They have six grandchildren: Michael and Matthew Brice; Paul and Casey Moran; and Alisha and Alexa Moran.
A family dinner at a local restaurant will be held to mark the occasion and the couple will take a trip to Walt Disney World.
