(AP) One of the biggest convention and trade shows in Reno, Nev., this year has scuttled plans to return to town in 2015.

Safari Club International is holding next year's annual convention in Las Vegas and had planned to return to Reno the following year for the 16th time in its history.

But now Nevada tourism officials say the international hunting organization has decided to spend the next two years in Las Vegas.

Christopher Baum, president and CEO of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, says the Safari Club's growing demand for worldwide air service has made it increasingly difficult for the Reno market to accommodate all the group's needs.

More than 20,000 people attended the convention in Reno in January, pumping an estimated $21 million into the area economy.
