(AP) Stock indexes are little changed in midday trading on Wall Street, leaving the market on track to post a big gain for October.


U.S. company earnings were a mixed bag Thursday.


Avon Products, Kraft Foods and MetLife fell after their profits missed Wall Street's forecasts. Time Warner Cable and Expedia rose after beating expectations.


The Dow Jones industrial average was down 14 points, less than 0.1 percent, at 15,603 as of noon Eastern time.


The Standard & Poor's 500 rose less than a point 1,763. The Nasdaq composite was up six points at 3,937.


The yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose to 2.56 percent from 2.54 percent.


The S&P 500 is on track to have its best month since at least July. It's up nearly 5 percent for October.
