(AP) Jockey Joel Rosario is on his way to be examined to determine whether he's fit to ride Kentucky Derby winner Orb in the Travers a day after breaking a bone in his left foot in a spill at Saratoga.

Rosario's agent Ron Anderson said Saturday morning that Rosario was en route to Albany to be examined by Dr. Rick Alfred, the New York Giants' team physician. The rider also needs to be cleared by New York Racing Association officials.

Rosario, the nation's leading rider, was injured in Friday's seventh race. He was aboard last-place finisher Casual Elegance. The horse then unseated Rosario and jockey lay on the turf for several minutes before standing up and limping to a golf cart.

Rosario also is scheduled to ride top handicap horse Game on Dude in Sunday's Pacific Classic at Del Mar.
