(AP) Defenseman Martin Marincin beat Joni Ortio off a rebound with 4:02 left to give the Edmonton Oilers a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Saturday night in a split-squad exhibition game.

Ryan Jones opened the scoring for Edmonton in the first period, and David Perron made it 2-0 in the second. First-round draft pick Emile Poirier and Mike Cammalleri scored for Calgary early in the third.

Jason LaBarbera stopped all 12 shots he faced for the Oilers before giving way to Richard Bachman midway through the second period. Joey MacDonald started in goal for Calgary, and Ortio took over midway through the second.
