Lackawanna County and ScrantonMade partnered up for the second annual Arts on The Square, scheduled for July 26 from noon to 8 p.m. on Courthouse Square in downtown Scranton.

Fine art, craft, performing art, photography, food and music will wrap around the square with interactive art, murals, children’s and all ages activities.

This year, stages are hosted by Summersteps Records and Highway 81 Revisited. Ten acts will perform throughout the day, including: Indigo Moon Brass Band, Kid Icarus, Eww Yaboo, A Fire with Friends, Cold Coffee, Heavy Blonde, Katie Kelly and the Charming Beards, Charles Havira and Gentleman East.

There will be live murals by local artists Ben Adcroft and Evan Hughes, colorful installations by Shanty Town Design, Kujat Design, Nicole Laurel and Maura Cummings, a live #hashtag photo wall curated by John Ingiaimo, slow motion photo booth by JWV, Voyager Video and The PA Film School, painting classes by Spirited Arts, science activities lead by The Scranton Cultural Center, Scranton Public Library and The Everhart and more.

Downtown businesses will host in-store events and sidewalk sales.

Arts on The Square is sponsored by Lackawanna County, ScrantonMade, Shanty Town Design, Electric City, WVIA as well as local businesses and creative “pARTners.”
