Local blogger named field editor for national magazine

Christina Hitchcock’s passion for cooking and baking has landed her national recognition as a field editor for Taste of Home magazine, one of the largest food magazines in the world. Hitchcock, a Madison Township resident, is a food blogger who shares recipes, helpful hints and ideas on how to cook more in a busy life on her website, It’s a Keeper (

Hitchcock joins other cooking experts across the United States who serve as Taste of Home community ambassadors by sharing insights about food and cooking trends as well as creating, testing and trying new recipes.

“As a blogger, I spend a lot of time testing recipes, sharing stories and connecting with other busy moms,” said Hitchcock. “I’m honored to be selected as a Taste of Home field editor so I can share my experience and expertise with other Taste of Home readers.”

Started in 2010, It’s a Keeper is a blog that provides tried and true recipes that are easy to make. Hitchcock started the blog as a way to chronicle her adventures (and mis-adventures) as she cooked and baked her way through the pile of recipes that she had collected.
