AVOCA – Police said two men were charged with attempting to steal metal plates from a railroad crossing on Wednesday.
Bradley Avery, 19, of Harding, and Benjamin Morua, 28, of Larksville, were caught stealing plates from the McAlpine Street railroad crossing owned by Canadian Pacific Rail, police said.
Police said the men were observed loading plates from the ground into a truck owned by Morua.
Charges of theft, criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy and interference of transportation facilities were filed against Avery and Morua, police said.
