Abington Art Studio, 208 Depot Street Clarks Summit, will host the original work of Timmy Walsh and his Camera For A Cure throughout the month of October. Opening reception will be held on Friday, Oct. 11 from 5 to 9 p.m. The showing is part of the Clarks Summit Art Walk, organized by the Arts Council of the Abingtons. Walsh will present new photos at this showing.
Camera For A Cure is a non profit fundraiser started by Timmy Walsh, then 5-years-old, with his first showing at the age of 6. Walsh takes photographs amd sells them with proceeds going to the Lung Cancer Alliance. Now, at the age of 11, he continues to raise funds for cancer research along with other diseases and causes. He is an Olyphant resident and a student at Wyoming Seminary Lower School. CFAC does not recoup any money from printing, matting or framing. All proceeds are 100 percent given to the recipient of the show.
