Scott Dixon wins Pocono IndyCar 400

LONG POND — Here’s some of the lap highlights of Scott Dixon’s victory Sunday in the Pocono IndyCar 400 Presented by Sunoco on Sunday at Pocono Raceway:


LAP 1 — James Hinchcliffe spins and strikes the turn one wall on the first lap. His day is over.


LAP 3 — Sebastian Saavedra is behind the wall with a stuck throttle while the race is still under caution.


LAP 5 — Restart with Marco Andretti in first followed by Tony Kanaan and Ryan Hunter-Reay.


LAP 20 — Same running order up front.


LAP 30 — Andretti surrenders the lead to pit under green.


LAP 33 — Tristan Voutier is slow entering turn three, but manages to make it to pit road without bring out a caution.


LAP 35 — The field cycles through green-flag stops with Andretti leading Hunter-Reay and Kanaan.


LAP 60 — The field is pretty much strung out throughout the track. It’s Andretti, Hunter-Reay and Kanaan.


LAP 62 — Caution as Hunter-Reay is clipped by Takuma Sato at the entrance of pit road. Both were running in the top five at the time.


LAP 65 — Drivers come out of the pits with Kanaan in front followed by Andretti and Helio Castroneves. Simon Pagenaud is fourth and Will Power is fifth.


LAP 80 — Andretti leads followed by Kanaan and Castroneves. There are 16 cars on the lead lap. Hunter-reay getting ready to get back on the track after repairs. He’s 18 laps down.


LAP 95 — Andretti pits under green giving the lead back the Kanaan.


LAP 97 — Kanaan in under green. Scott Dixon takes over the top spot. Power is second. Andretti is back to 11th.


LAP 100 — Dixon and other pit under green. Dixon comes out of the pits still the leader, just ahead of second-place Kanaan, who hasn’t pitted yet.


LAP 107 — Kanaan passes Dixon for the lead in turn one, but clips the right of his front wing on Dixon’s rear.


LAP 110 — Kanaan has to pit because of the damage. Power takes the lead. Dixon is second. Andretti has worked up to third.


LAP 112 — Andretti passes both for the lead.


LAP 127 — Andretti pits, surrendering the lead to Power.


LAP 130 — Power pits, giving Charlie Kimball the lead.


LAP 133 — Dixon passes Kimball for the lead. Andretti, who has clinched the most laps led, is sixth.


LAP 140 — It’s Dixon, Kimball and Dario Franchetti up front.


LAP 141 — Kanaan falls a lap down after pitting under green.


LAP 160 — Dixon holds off Kimball to post his 30th victory of his career.
