The Pittston Area Key Club donated 50 blankets to Bayada Nurses for their Pediatric Patients. Members of the Key Club spent many hours working on the handmade blankets. The Key Club performs numerous service projects throughout the school year. The Pittston Area Cheerleading Parents meeting will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 7PM at Savo’s in Pittston. The upcoming banquet will be discussed. All parents are asked to attend.

The Parents of The Pittston area class of 2008 will meet on Wednesday night January 30that 7 p.m. in room B1.Plans for the all night party will be discussed. All parents are asked to attend .For more information call Mary Lou at 457 2438.
Applications for the Class of Junior Leadership Wilkes-Barre have arrived in the guidance office. Junior Leadership Wilkes-Barre is a leadership development program for area high school students who will be entering his or her junior year in the fall of 2008. The program offers students the opportunity to work with adult leaders in their community through daylong seminars held over a nine month period.
Junior Leadership
Junior Leadership Wilkes-Barre provides the following: it acquaints high school students with community needs and resources, which influence the future of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Area. It also develops leadership skills and encourages students to interact with community leaders, decision makers, and peers from other schools, and challenges emerging leaders to apply their new knowledge and skills to community service projects.
Students can obtain applications in the guidance office. Completed applications, including two adult references, and a $10.00 processing fee are due in the guidance office to Mrs. Kayden on or before Wednesday, February 13.
Senior Interviews

Justin Tonte, son of Gene and Janice Tonte, was born February 2, 1990 and currently resides in Duryea. Some of Justin’s favorites include Mr. Caprari, Ms. McGarry, and Mr. J. Walsh. His favorite food is pizza, and he enjoys music by Shania Twain, Toby Keith, and Miranda Lambert.
The most challenging part of high school for Justin was Geometry, and plans to attend college after graduating.

Jeremy Adam Davis, son of Kristin Davis, currently resides in Dupont. He was born on January 4, 1990 and he describes his high school experience as “awesome”.
According to Jeremy, the hardest part of high school was switching schools. His most memorable part was scoring his first touchdown. Jeremy plays football and volleyball. He plans on going to college and playing sports. He looks forward to getting a good job someday.
Mr. Richards, who is Jeremy’s idol, is also his favorite teacher. His best friends are Justin Harrison, Steve Lukovich, Steve Davis, Jay McCracken, and Jordan Kelly. He also likes to watch the movie Superbad, while eating lasagna and listening to the song, “Champagne Supernova.”

Justin Harrison, son of Mary Beth, was born on August 30, 1990 and currently resides in Pittston.
Justin, who describes his high school experience as “fun,” even though math was challenging, plans to go to business school after graduation. If he could teach any class, it would be business ethics. Justin’s favorites include Mr. Caputo, pizza, and The Longest Yard. He plays baseball and his best friends are Steve and Jeremy Davis.

Kendle Jemiola, daughter of Ken and Denise, was born on February 1, 1990 and resides in Suscon. Her best memory from high school was when Bill rode the conveyor belt at lunch.
Kerndle is usually seen with Kevin Kosisky, Amanda Knowles, Brianna Yonushka, and Matt Hull. You can often hear her saying, “Pssshhh. I own you.” Kendle’s favorite teachers include Mr. Caprari, Mr. Zyblicki, Mrs. Adams, Ms. O., and Ms. Gallagher. She plans in majoring in English at college, and describes her high school experience as “chicken wing sauce.”

Michael McDade, son of Brian and Cheryl, was born on May 4, 1990 and resides in Pittston Twp. All in all, his high school experience was “sweet,” although Mike does admit he would change a few of his old classes if he could.
Mike enjoys the movie Superbad and admits that Chuck Norris is his favorite celebrity. He’s usually seen hanging out with Tom, G, RJ, Dave, Cracker, Jordan, Scott, and Caveman. After high school, Mike would like to become a high school teacher, perhaps teaching his favorite subject, Algebra II.
