As part of their senior project, Brayonna Walsh and Erica Stolan organized the Old Forge High School Student Art Show which displayed art work completed by students throughout the school year. This year’s theme was Art is Surreal.
The event has been done in previous years and is a great success as it offers tudents the ability to display their hard work and individuality in a gallery like setting. This year’s art show was held at Art Seen Gallery in Pittston on Friday, June 20.
The girls worked the past few months with their art teacher, Mr. Patrick McLane, to prepare the art work for the show, getting it framed, matted and making labels. They received donations to provide light refreshments to those who attended the show. As something extra they designed and sold T-shirts to raise money for the show and the art club.
