    M. Julia Matiskella, formerly of Pine Street in the Hanover section of
   
Nanticoke died Thursday at Birchwood Nursing Home in NanticokeBorn in
Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Theodosia (Boldish)
Zeedock.
   
She attended Nanticoke schools.
   
She was employed at a silk mill in Nanticoke, and the Bulova Watch Co. in
New York. Upon returning to the area, she was employed at Pomeroy’s in
Wilkes-Barre until she retired.
   
She was a member of Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord Church in the Hanover
section of Nanticoke.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore, in 1959; brothers,
Michael and Russell; sisters, Mary Kashuba, Martha Derkach, Anna Wethtaluk,
Eva Stemniski, Elizabeth Bodansky and Helen Kozemko.
   
Surviving are her sisters, Sophie Zeedock, Nanticoke; Pearl Demchak,
Nanticoke; and Pauline Mallol, Hanover Green section of Hanover Township; and
several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Thomas E. Buczkowski
Funeral Home, 210 Pine St., Hanover section of Nanticoke, with Divine Liturgy
at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord Church.
   
Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Nanticoke.
   
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening. Parastas services will be
at 5 p.m. by the Rev. Vasyl Kharuk.—–
