EDWARDSVILLE — Police arrested William Yurek Jr., 32, on allegations he sexually assaulted a child.
Yurek, of Wyoming, was arraigned by District Judge Brian James Tupper in Kingston Township on charges of indecent assault and corruption of minors. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.
Police received information in September regarding allegations a child was sexually assaulted in Edwardsville. The child was questioned by a forensic interviewer at the Luzerne County Child Advocacy Center in Wilkes-Barre resulting in charges being filed against Yurek, according to the criminal complaint.
