Frances Grabowski notes 100th birthday

Frances Grabowski celebrated her 100th birthday on Dec. 3.


Formerly from South Street in Avoca, Grabowski currently resides at the Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.


Her husband, Joseph, to whom she was married for 53 years, passed away in 1996. In addition to her husband, she has been blessed with a daughter and son-in-law, Marijo and Tony Mazzarella, of Pittston; and two sons, Peter, of Fort Meyers, Fla.; and Richard, of Avoca.


She also has two grandchildren, Kristin Mazzarella, of Scranton; and Marissa Barr, of Pittston, and five great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Keelin Kirby and Isaiah, Elijah and Joshua Barr.


A party was held in her honor on Dec. 7, with her family and friends in attendance.
