HL Walking Club meets twice a week
The Harveys Lake Walking Club meets at 7 p.m. on Thursday evenings and at 9 a.m. on Saturday mornings at Pole 155 to walk the block of Park, Pine, Ash and Oak streets. For more information, call 639-3299.
Artwork on display at Citizens Bank
The Dallas branch of the Citizens Bank, Main Street, is exhibiting 18 artworks by Rosemary Luksha, of Larksville, an art teacher at Northwest Area High School/Middle School, through June 29.
A former student of Sue Hand, Luksha has produced a body of watercolor landscapes and colored pencil portraits of family members and is exhibiting them in conjunction with a group of ballet posters, many of which were originally created in the 1970s and 1980s while she was a ballet student at the Wilkes-Barre Ballet Theatre.
Alzheimer’s group meets on July 2
Dallas Alzheimer’s Support Group meeting will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, in the board room at the Meadows Nursing Center, 55 W. Center Hill Rd., Dallas. Speaker will be Clay Jacobs, Outreach and Education coordinator from the Alzheimer’s Association.
Youths needed for auction set-up
With the annual Back Mountain Memorial Library Auction, quickly approaching, all area youth are invited to join in the fun and earn Community Service Hours at the same time….
Any teens ages 12 and up are once again needed for auction set-up which will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, July 6.
Lunch will be provided on both days. Call the library at 675-1182 to sign up now.
Flea market planned
Mountain Grange No. 567 will hold a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, from 8 at the Grange Hall, 1632 W. Eighth St, Wyoming.
A light eat-in or take-out menu is available, including whimpies, hot dogs with sauerkraut, soup, ice-cream desserts and more.

Children’s workshop slated at Music Box
A summer theater workshop for children 8 to 12 years old begins July 20 and will end with a performance of “Alice in Wonderland” August 14 and 15 at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville.

Emergency Services Day slated
The Kingston Township Ambulance and Rescue Association will host the Second Annual Kingston Township Emergency Services Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at the Apple Hill picnic area/baseball field at Frances Slocum State Park.
