Kathleen Davies celebrated her 100th birthday on March 16 surrounded by her family and friends.
She is the youngest of nine children and was married to Gerard, her beloved, deceased husband, for 73 years.
She has two children, Kathleen McCarthy and Gerard, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who celebrated with her.
Kathleen lived most of her life on Long Island, moving to Northeastern Pennsylvania seven years ago. She was a trophy- winning golfer and excelled at swimming and table tennis. Most of her years were devoted to being a wife and mother, caring for relatives and volunteering for the Catholic church. But she also managed the payrolls for Address a Graph and Van Son Holland Ink.
How does she account for living so long in good health? “Good luck.”
