GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) — The Latest on a head-on crash on Interstate 10 in Phoenix (all times local):

10:40 a.m.

A highway west of Phoenix has reopened after a deadly crash involving a wrong-way driver and a Greyhound bus.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 at Loop 303 are now open after being closed since 3 a.m. Friday.

Police say 24-year-old Sarah Castillo-Cornejo was killed when she crashed head-on with a large bus carrying 35 passengers. Thirteen bus passengers went to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The bus was headed from California to Phoenix.

9:15 a.m.

Authorities say drugs or alcohol is suspected in a wrong-way crash that killed a driver who hit a Greyhound bus head-on on a suburban Phoenix highway.

Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Quentin Mehr says investigators believe 24-year-old Sarah Castillo-Cornejo of Peoria was impaired early Friday.

She died at the scene, while 13 passengers on the bus were taken to hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials say the bus was carrying 35 passengers and the driver from San Bernardino, California, to Phoenix.

Greyhound representative Lanesha Gipson says another bus took the uninjured passengers to Phoenix.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says a segment of I-10 in Goodyear on the west side of the Phoenix metro area is expected to remain closed through the Friday morning commute because of a deadly wreck.

Eastbound I-10 is closed at the Loop 303 freeway due to the head-on collision of a car and a Greyhound bus.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the car’s driver was killed and that 13 passengers on the bus had non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials say the bus was carrying 35 passengers and the driver and was en route to Phoenix from San Bernardino, California, when the wreck occurred early Friday morning.

Greyhound representative Lanesha Gipson says another bus took uninjured passengers to Phoenix to finish or continue their travel.

Authorities say a wrong-way car’s driver is dead after smashing head-on into a Greyhound Bus on Interstate 10 in a Phoenix suburb.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a westbound car’s driver was killed at the scene and that 13 passengers on the eastbound bus were taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries described as non-life threatening.

Officials say the bus was carrying 35 passengers and the driver and was en route to Phoenix from San Bernardino, California, when the wreck occurred early Friday morning.

Greyhound representative Lanesha Gipson says another bus took uninjured passengers to Phoenix to finish or continue their travel.

News video showed little left of the car. The driver’s identity was not released.

Eastbound traffic on I-10 is being rerouted around the accident site.
