TUNKHANNOCK — The Tunkhannock Tigers improved to 4-1 in Wyoming Valley
Conference golf Monday with a three-stroke, 175-178 victory over Hanover Area.
   
Jerry Kenia led Tunkhannock, shooting a 40 on the par-37 Shadowbrook
course. He was followed by Joe Brown with a 42, Mark Brown with a 45 and Dave
Malarkey with a 48.
    Jeff Brown shot a 41 for the Hawks, garnering medalist honors in a losing
cause. Other scorers for Hanover were Jason Henicheck with 44, Jason Bigus
with 44 and Randy Marosevitch with a 49. The Hawks are now 4-1 in the Wyoming
Valley Conference as well.
   
Hazleton 167, Nanticoke 181
   
MUHLENBURG — Hazleton Area was led by medalist Jason Martonick who fired a
37 at Jean’s Run. Also contributing for the Cougars were Pat Knelly with a 42,
Rick Covey with a 43 and Mark Passon with a 45.
   
Jon Benick led the way for the Trojans, shooting a 42. Other Nanticoke
scores were John Vishnefski’s 44, Jeff Kowolski’s 47, and Pete Blasi’s 48.
   
Seminary 160, B. Hoban 169
   
BEAR CREEK– Rob Ciaruffoli led the way for the Blue Knights with a score
of 38 on the par-36 Wilkes-Barre Municipal course. Matt Trosan added a 39 for
Seminary, while Phil Gager shot a 41 and Brent Mullins a 42.
   
Chris Pryor shot an even-par 36 for medalist honors for Bishop Hoban. Mike
Lulis shot a 42 for the Argents, Jack Nicholson a 44 and Gershan Spangler a
47.
   
Pittston 168, Berwick 174
   
FALLS — The Patriots raised their record to 2-2 behind Vince Musto’s 39.
Scotty Biscotti aided Pittston’s cause with a 40, followed by Joe Jiardina
with a 41 and Joe Vennarini with a 48.
   
Ryan Anderson posted a 39 for the Dawgs, to earn co-medalist honors along
with Musto. Kris Rudy was next with a 44, then Steve Lopashanski with a 45 and
Jim Hyde with a 46.
   
Dallas 160, Wyo. Area 171
   
EXETER — Lynn Kilduff shot a 1-under-par 35 to lead undefeated Dallas past
Wyoming Area. Tom Klimek scored 39 for the Mounties, while Justin Jumper and
Brian Blase posted identical scores of 43.
   
Mike Shimko was low man for the Warriors, shooting a 41. Also scoring for
Wyomong Area were Chris Snopkowski with a 42, Jason Bruno with a 43, and Dave
Zezza with a 45.
