    Carlton Roy Henning, 85, formerly of Athens, died Wednesday at the Dar-Way
   
Nursing Home, EstellaBorn July 8, 1910, in Athens, he was the son of the
late Samuel and Mae Turner Henning.
   
He had been residing at the Dar-Way Nursing Home for the past three years,
and graduated from Athens Area High School in 1930.
   
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, where he completed Radio
Mechanics Operations School.
   
Later, he was a self-employed electrical contractor for more than 25 years,
and was a former member of the Athens American Legion.
   
He was predeceased by a niece, Judith Hoopes.
   
Surviving are a nephew, Philip, Estella; a niece, Mrs. Bob (Marcia) Faw,
Washington, D.C.; four grand nieces; one grand nephew.
   
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Tioga Point Cemetery,
Athens, with the Rev. Randy Brunstetter, pastor of Living Hope Fellowship,
Estella, officiating.
   
Memorial donations may be made to the Dar-Way Nursing Home, RR 1,
Forksville, 18616.
   
Funeral arrangements are by the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St.,
Dushore.
