Arthur Daniels February 8, 1997 Arthur R. Daniels, of Academy Street,
   
Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday at the Hershey Medical Center, HersheyBorn in
Newport, Vt., he was the son of Leon R. and Audrey E. Baxter Wheeler.
    He attended Yorktown Heights schools, New York.
   
He was employed by Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre. Earlier, he worked at
the Scranton Club and Scranton Lace.
   
He was a member of Simpson West Park United Methodist Church, Scranton.
   
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Jennifer)
Mrozik, Mohegan Lake, N.Y.; stepsisters, Helen Wheeler and Mrs. Herb (Sandra)
Parker, both at home; Evelyn Schmeisser and Antionette Wheeler, both of
Scranton; Adalide Trotta, Brooklyn, N.Y.; step-brothers, Harold Wheeler, Forty
Fort; Leon A. Wheeler, Scranton; and several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at noon Thursday from the John V. Morris-Charles
J. Leagus Funeral Home, 281 E. Northampton St., Wilkes-Barre, followed by
services at 12:30 p.m. in Central United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre. The
Rev. Mark Terwilliger, pastor of Central United Methodist Church, the Rev. Ann
Blair, pastor of Simpson West Park United Methodist Church, Scranton, and the
Rev. Ken Wiggins, pastor of First Assembly of God Church, Wilkes-Barre, will
officiate.
   
Interment will be in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
