WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Township police arrested Samantha Strollis, 22, of Kingston, after she was allegedly observed inhaling the contents of a can of computer dust remover while sitting inside a vehicle outside Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace, on Wednesday.
A passenger in the vehicle, Kate Lorrah, 20, of Wilkes-Barre, was also arrested when she was allegedly found with marijuana, police said.
HANOVER TWP. — State police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement reported enforcement statistics for May: complaints received, 173; visits to licensed establishments, 391; age compliance checks, 23; number of establishments that sold alcohol to minor, 14; administrative citations, 38; minors arrested for underage drinking, 21; seized 15 gallons of beer and 1 liter of liquor.
KINGSTON — Police arrested Eric Timothy Hill, 25, of Penn Street, Kingston, on Thursday on charges he sold heroin.
Hill, who has a street name “Pop-Off,” was arraigned by District Judge Paul Roberts in Kingston on four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and two counts each of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of communication facility.
He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $100,000 bail.
Police allege Hill sold heroin in an alley near his residence in May and June. Hill is an admitted member of the Bloods street gang, police said.
Police said additional charges will be filed against Hill as a result of a search of his residence.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled on June 25.
HAZLE TWP. — Matrix SME reported to state police at Hazleton that someone gained entry to construction trailers and bucket trucks at a construction lot at the intersection of Back Street and state Route 924 sometime between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday and stole copper, power tools and other construction items valued in excess of $2,000.
