WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Police are requesting any information regarding the identification of a man in a surveillance video image who is sought in connection with the theft of a laptop computer valued $999 from Walmart on Dec. 30.
The suspect fled the scene in a newer model Nissan Altima.

WILKES-BARRE — Police are investigating the theft of $700 from a residence on South Franklin Street early Friday morning.
The resident told police he left at approximately 1 a.m. and returned at approximately 6 a.m. to find his door open. The money was missing from his dining room table, he told police.
KINGSTON — Police reported the following:
• A man was arrested at 48 Penn St. on Thursday on a number of drug and drug-related charges.
Narcotics detective conducted several controlled heroin purchases and executed a search warrant as part of the investigation, leading to the arrest of Eric Hill, 25.
Hill was charged with delivery of Heroin, possession with the intent to deliver, criminal use of a communications facility, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, with for more charges to be filed from drugs located during the search warrant, police said.
District Judge Paul Roberts arraigned the man, according to a police report, and Hill is being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on $100,000 bail.
• An officer stopped a vehicle after detectives from the Kingston Police Narcotics Unit said the they believed the driver participated in a drug transaction on Zerbey Avenue and Pringle Street, police said.
According to a police report, the driver, identified as Ishmael Bangura, 26, Plymouth, was in possession of heroin and prescription pills at the time of the stop that he was offering for sale.
Police said detectives from Kingston and Wilkes-Barre searched 379 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre, and located identification belonging to Bangura, along with $17,000 in cash, a loaded handgun and additional controlled substances.
Kingston police said they charged the man with delivery of cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, criminal use of a communications facility, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bangura was lodged at Luzerne County Correctional Facility, the report said, and the Wilkes-Barre Police Department will file its own charges against him.
HAZLE TWP. — Maria Mateo, 19, of Hazleton, reported her Samsung Galaxy Note cellphone was stolen from her unlocked locker at Tech Packaging at 20 Cinnamon Oak Drive in the Humboldt Industrial Park between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

HAZLE TWP. — State police are investigating a break-in and theft of $400 from the Goodwill store on Airport Road.
The break-in occurred between 8 p.m. Thursday and 9:45 a.m. Friday and entry was made by forcing open a garage door located at the trailer drop-off. The money was stolen from a locked office that was forced open.
State police asked that anyone with information about the burglary contact the Hazleton barracks at 570 459-3890.
FREELAND — State police said a citation was filed against a 32-year-old man from Freeland on Friday after a fight in the area of 550 Front St.
The man struck a 22-year-old man from Freeland in the mouth, injuring him, state police said. The victim identified his assailant, who fled from the scene, state police said.
FOSTER TWP. — Ronnie Ann Arnold, 41, reported her wallet was stolen from her unlocked Ford Windstar while it was parked on Luzerne Street between 1:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

EAST UNION TWP. — State police said Miguel Inoa, 21, of Hazleton, broke through a security gate and assaulted Lewis Arvelo, 24, also of Hazleton, with a 5-foot pole at 6:42 p.m. Friday at the Steelcase plant, 68 Green Mountain Road, in the Schuylkill County section of the Humboldt Industrial Park.
Arvelo was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton for treatment of his injuries. Inoa faces charges of aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass, reckless endangerment and other minor offenses, state police said.
