WILKES-BARRE — Anthony Jones and Tanya Spiegel, both of Oxford Street in Hanover Township, were to be cited with harassment after police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the area of Water and Tannery streets at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Police said a woman reported that following a child custody hearing in relation to her grandson, Jones, the child’s father, and Spiegel, the child’s paternal grandmother, both made threats to punch her in her face and also made threats to “put her six feet under,” police said.

Jones was also arrested and charged with indirect criminal contempt after a Luzerne County Sheriff’s Deputy told police that a court stenographer overheard that Jones and his family members were making threats to harm the victim, police said.

The victim’s attorney told police they all just left a custody hearing and that Jones was making comments to and about his client, and that his client had a protection from abuse order filed against Jones.
